FEATURED TRIP

We lead trips to the forty-six High Peaks of the Adirondacks. Spend a day in High Peaks splendor or begin a life-journey with an experienced '46er.' Many of the High Peaks have stunning summit views and fragile alpine flora. Hikes are moderately paced on trails or herd paths, and effort needed to hike these trails varies from moderate to strenuous. Plan to spend two days on trips into the most remote areas. We are knowledgeable about new High Peaks regulations and can     help you avoid making mistakes. REGISTER

Check out our other trips…

Two-day trip: Backpack a section of the historic Northville-Placid Trail from the Olympic Village of Lake Placid to wild and scenic Duck Hole in the remote valley of the western High Peaks. REGISTER

Day hiking: Explore beautiful and isolated Nun-da-gao Ridge on a herd-path to Lost Pond. Choose a journey into wild Avalanche Pass. Or choose a hike to scenic Wanika Falls via the Northville-Placid Trail. REGISTER

Half day: Choose an easier trip, Saranac Lake's Mt. Baker or Tupper Lake's Panther Mountain. Lake Placid's Mt. Jo or Mt. Van Hoevenberg offers breathtaking vistas. Ampersand Mt. is a splendid but more demanding trip.Or maybe you prefer a swim at the secluded sandy Round Pond beach or the deep, clear water at Copperas Pond. REGISTER   Are you a paddler, or would you like to be one? See our Canoeing and Boating page for camping trips along remote Adirondack waterways.

During the winter months we feature snowshoe and backcountry ski excursions. Do you have a destination in mind that we haven't listed? We will arrange the Adirondack trip of your dreams!
